So maybe you are a seller, who sells on etsy, zibbet, artfire, or one of the other new venues popping up all over the internet, or maybe you are a handmade or vintage adorer, maybe you buy supplies for making lovely things on these sites. Have you ever asked yourself why there are so many handmade venues popping up all over the place?
The answer is quite simple. There is a lot of money to be made off of artisans and crafters. People are becoming increasingly aware of their buying habits and wanting to support handmade, locally produced, upcycled, vintage, repurposed goods. The problem is why support a corporation in the process? Why not buy directly from the seller on their website where there are no fees and 100% of the profit goes into the pocket of an artisan?
That is the purpose of this site. To give the control back to the Makers, The Collectors, The Vinties, The Suppliers AND to the Buyers by removing the middle man!
